We need your support to stop this unfair tax that is on the November ballot. If Proposition 56 passes, it would increase the state’s cigarette excise tax by an additional $2.00 per pack and increase the tax on all other tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, by an equivalent amount.

What You Can Do

  • Educate Yourself and Your Neighbors
    • Prop. 56 hikes taxes for adult smokers, dippers and vapers in California, but profits insurance companies and other special interests by as much as $1 billion.
    • This measure spends $147 million on overhead costs and government bureaucracy with virtually no accountability to the taxpayer.
    • Not one penny of the new tax money will go to improve our kids’ schools, cheating them out of at least $600 million.
